Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

Received H-trail recently. Size was great but right foot strap was significantly longer than the left. Looked odd with the excess strap hanging. Sent back original for exchange. Flawless exchange and they expedited the shipment. Will be purchasing more in the future. The sandals feel GREAT!

Needs work

I’m going to start this review off my saying I love Xero shoes. I have had multiple pairs of Prios, HFS and genesis sandals. I’ve wanted to get away from trail runners when hiking and move to sandals. I did a lot of research but ultimately went with the H-trails because of how much I love all my other Xero shoes. Unfortunately I am far from satisfied with the H-trails. The build quality is excellent but the design is poor. I’ll start with the foot bed. When they are dry there isn’t too much movement of the foot bed while hiking flat trails. When I start to sweat or hit a stream crossing it’s like there is an oil slick between my feet and the sandals. I have rolled my ankle multiple time when they are wet. I recently hiked 25 miles in the Appalachian Trail and after a stream crossing my right foot slid off the bottom and it caused me to roll my ankle and got a pretty gnarly sprain. I had 13 miles to go so it was miserable. Also after about 50 miles on trail the rubber is peeling off. So in short the rubber between your foot and sandal is aweful. The bottom of the sandal is excellent. Great grip on the trail even when wet. Unfortunately though with grip on the bottom and a slippery top your foot will slide right off. Now to the straps. You would think tightening them down would prevent movement but there is a big flaw in the design. They use a small Y section of a fabric to connect the straps together. No matter how tight I got them, and I tried tightening them until they hurt to wear, there was still ALOT of movement in the heel. This Y section also prevents you from tightening the straps down evenly because it’s too large and this is a big cause of the foot bed movement. The main Velcro strap on the top is limited by the Y section and also has too small of a Velcro patch. You can only tighten it so much before the two sides of the Velcro no longer touch. Also the slider that is attached to the top velcro strap is limited in movement do to the plastic adjuster in the other top strap. This is probably all difficult to understand without the sandals in front of you. I will include some images that hopefully shine alittle light on what I’m describing. Ultimately I would not recommend these sandals for trail hiking which is unfortunate because that is their primary purpose. I would consider getting another pair after a significant overhaul of the footbed and straps. Again, I love Xero shoes but no one is perfect and mistakes happen. Maybe this is just my experience and some will enjoy them but I did not.
