Prio Running and Fitness Shoe - Women (Clearance)

Prio Women's SIZE GUIDE

We now recommend ordering your regular size.

Note: As of July 31st, 2019 we changed the sizing for the Women's Prio. If you had ordered a pair before that date, a half-size down with our current sizing should fit you now.
FREE EXCHANGES: Most people find our size recommendation gives them a proper fit, but just in case, we have a free exchange program for all US orders.
*If you normally buy a Euro, UK or JP Size, check out the handy conversion chart below.
NOTE: The Prio fits like the TerraFlex, and has a wider toe box than conventional women's shoes. If your feet are particularly wide, consider the Men's Prio. Just make sure to adjust the size by 1.5 (for example, a men's 8 is the same length as a women's 9.5).

Product Description

The most comfortable athletic shoe I’ve ever worn.Stacy M.

The Prio is the most comfortable shoe for everything you do.

Whether you’re out on a run, trying out a new trail, hitting the gym, or toeing a slackline, you’ll love the Prio’s combination of freedom and protection.

“Just-Right” Protection:

The Prio uses the same 5.5mm FeelTrue® rubber as our Z-Trek sandal, so you get great protection while still getting the ground feedback that your feet love. The optional 2mm insole lets you have more or less of a “barefoot feel” depending on your mood.

Lightweight:

A women’s 7 is only 7.3 ounces each – you’ll barely notice you have them on.

Secure-feeling:
Our Huarache sandal-inspired reflective heel and instep straps hold your foot securely – with or without socks – while keeping your toes free to move.

Plus, the Prio is made from 100% vegan-friendly materials.
Imagine you’ve just come home after a long day at work or on the trail. If you can’t wait to take your shoes off the moment you walk in the front door, you’ve been wearing the wrong shoes.

Life-Changing comfort and superior performance come from using your feet naturally.

That’s what Xero Shoes let you do.

Natural Fit. Natural Motion. Natural Feel.

Plus Xero Shoes are backed with a 5,000-mile sole warranty.

It’s not. But the breathable mesh upper should help it dry quickly if you get them wet.

Practically anything. The Prio is our first “performance” shoe.

It’s great road running, light trail running, walking, hiking, working out, Crossfit, biking, slacklining… it’s obviously up to you. Once you get them on, I’m sure you’ll do things we never thought of (and we want to see pictures of that!).

Put on your Prio and Live Life Feet First!

I’ll admit, this is one of my favorite things about the Prio.

The huarache-sandal inspired heel strap can be used to hold your heel and ankle in place. Pull the straps through the ankle holes in the sole, and then lock them in place with the laces.

The instep straps can be used to secure your instep, which can free up your toes and forefoot to relax and function better. Use the laces to tighten or loosen them to your liking.

The Prio is our best-selling “do almost anything” shoe — running, hiking, working out, you name it.
With a durable upper, it provides a bit more protection.

The Speed Force is our lightest, “most barefoot” shoe.
More feedback as you step and a mesh upper that holds like a glove, you get a “barely there” experience.

The HFS is lighter than the Prio, more rugged than the Speed Force.
The HFS’s sole has a tire tread-inspired sole that’s made to handle roads and have extra traction.
The huarache-inspired midfoot and instep straps are “hiding” behind a protective welded material.
And the moisture wicking lining for extra comfort and breathability.

Shoe sizing, especially online, is not a perfect process. That’s why we have a free exchange policy.

For EU/UK sizing, there’s a conversion chart at the bottom of the Prio product description.

The Prio fit true to size. We recommend going with your usual athletic shoe size.

Also, the Prio is wider than conventional running shoes.

Sizing for a shoe is different than a sandal, so if you own one of our sandals, that doesn’t mean you’ll pick the same size in the Prio, so use the measuring info if you can.

Keep in mind, though, that because the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannock device®, can only approximate your true shoe size. Manufacturers model their shoes on different foot shapes, which is why you might be an 8 in one brand and a 9 in another. And then, there’s personal preference: three people with identical feet might think the same shoe fits differently.

If your foot is wide and larger than a women’s 7.5, you may want to check out the “men’s” Prio. The conversion between men’s and women’s is 1.5, so a women’s 8 is the same as a men’s 6.5.

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 45-day return policy.

Caring for your Prios

To clean your Prios, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the Prio in the washing machine or dryer.

Best Shoe purchase EVER!

I felt like I was constantly dropping $100 + on shoes without finding the right shoe. I'd have my foot "mapped" and still not have good luck. Last year I bought a pair of these Xero trail shoes at Zion Ragnar but didn't wear them for what ever reason. I purchased the Prio shoes for a High Intensity workout class I go to. I was amazed that my feet didn't hurt even a little bit. I decided to wear the trail shoes I had purchased the year before. WOW! I am a believer in these shoes. No Blisters. My arches don't hurt! everything was great and it was the best running experience I've had.

"Thanks for my new Shoes, Dad!"

My daughter loves these shoes. She's worn them everyday for a week now. At the end of her first day wearing them, she gave me her review without being asked: "Thanks for buying me my new shoes, Dad. I love them!"

Better for wider feet

These are pretty good but I have narrow feet and I think xero shoes in general are better for wider feet. What I do like about them is you can tighten up the sides of the shoe. The sole is harder than I expected to be honest. I wish it was a softer type of rubber. This feels kind of stiff and hard. But I love how much room is in the toebox, they are pretty cute too (and I get a lot of compliments)! 🙂 And they are not too hot. I've had significantly less hip pain since moving into barefoot shoes.

My first pair of barefoot shoes

I did a few things before buying my first pair of barefoot shoes. I read articles and watched YouTube videos regarding barefoot shoes. I consulted my osteopath who gave me exercises to strengthen my feet and legs. I work from home, so I got an adjustable table and started standing barefoot more than sitting. All these help me prepare for my transition. When I bought this pair of Prio, it took me about a week to feel at ease standing in them. Next thing you know, I have been standing for 4 hours without needing to sit. My main goal was to have a pair of barefoot shoes for my work at home. But I also tried wearing them for badminton. Which to my surprise had a very good grip on the PVC court floor, way better grip than my regular Under Armor running shoes that I've been using for badminton. I know the Prio is not meant for badminton, the grip is lacking on the heel as it stops before the edge of the heel. So when I do a big step forward and land on my heel, I slip. Maybe my next pair for court sports would have grip thread wrapping up to the heel. I haven't tried playing on wooden basketball court which are usually much more slippery. Looking at the Prio's thread, I'm not sure it would grip well. I haven't tried them outside, but I'm sure they would do amazing. I think they breathe well enough when I play badminton with them. Mind you, I usually don't have sweaty issues with my feet. The laces are basic, but hold well while playing. I don't need to double knot. Once in a while I double check to make sure it's still tight. Sometimes I find one that loosened up very slightly, not even to the point of untying itself. Overall I enjoy wearing them. The quality vs price I got them for is surpassing my expectations. Definitely prefer them over my other running shoes. And I wish I had discovered them before spending on many pairs of expensive, thicker, cushiony shoes.
