Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

What’s different between TerraFlex and Mesa Trail?

The TerraFlex is our first shoe designed for trails. With a rugged, stitched upper, it’s great for running and hiking.

The Mesa Trail is made more specifically for trail running, with a lightweight breathable mesh upper, extra moisture wicking lining, and a protective welded covering for the adjustable midfoot and instep straps.

Both shoes have a grippy, lugged, dual-chevron tread, and a 3mm TrailFoam layer (“hiding” in the outsole) for just-right protection and comfort.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

Ok not great

While these shoes are waterproof, they don’t seem to breathe. I was hoping to use them for muddy hikes, but my feet get cold & damp even with wool socks. I am unable to return them because Xero only takes back shoes not worn outside. Hard to test these shoes without going outside in the wet weather. I may still use them, but not for hiking or wet urban walks because my feet aren’t happy.

Prices are way too high for Canadians

We love the shoes. But we live in canada and the duties at the border make the shoes unaffordable. Over C$250. You need Canadian distribution netwrk. Happy to help in that regard

Comfy Shoes

My expectations were exceeded in terms of comfort, style and activities for which I can wear them. I got them for trail hikes but have worn them for street walking and workouts at the gym. They were comfortable from hour one onward. No break-in needed. At age 66 I expected some discomfort for my older feet but had none. I am definitely a fan.

Give them time

As others have said, these are very stiff because of the waterproof tech. I use them for long walks and short hikes in Michigan, where mud puddles like to surprise you! Please wear them in before relying on them as your primary footwear for a trip. That said, they are sturdy, versatile, decent ground-loving shoes once broken in. If you have narrow feet like I do, they will likely fit you. (Yay!) All my Xero shoes are a half size larger than my normal size, including this one.
